Anastasiia Sukhomlinova, Assistant at Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University, will present the topic «Psychological Determinants of Youth Civic Engagement in the Context of Societal Transformations».
The presentation will explore the psychological determinants of youth civic engagement in the context of societal transformations, using the Melitopol urban territorial community as a practical case. It will focus on how participation in youth initiatives, community activities, educational and cultural projects contributes to young people’s sense of agency, social connectedness, civic identity, and involvement in community development. Practical examples from the activities of the People.ua Youth Center and youth initiatives of the Melitopol community will illustrate how young people maintain their connection with the community and contribute to its development despite displacement and wartime conditions.
